We cooperate on the project with several bookstores, primary schools and kindergartens in Trenčín, Trenčianske Jastrabie, Bánovce nad Bebravou, Stará Turá and the Shelter and the Centre of Social Care in Prievidza, and we are very happy that the project has a long-term support of the people of Trenčín and visitors of the bookstores, where the books for children can be purchased.
The books for the children are carefully selected in cooperation with teachers and parents, who know best what the children like and what their interests are. The children are always looking forward to receiving the gift of book so that they can spend their Christmas time in the realm of fantasy, in nature or on adventures.
The project has a twenty years old legacy and almost every year, we manage to endow a greater number of children than the year before. Since the beginning of the project, the total number is 3960 children. Our thanks belong to our supporters – the anonymous donors, Town of Trenčín, eventive s.r.o., teachers and parents.
The books will be ready from 14th November in the following bookstores: Panta Rhei in ZOC Max, OC Laugaricio and Braneckého Street 7 in Trenčín, in the bioshop Malý Princ at the Peace Square 29 and Knihy pre Každého in OD Prior (Trenčín, Prievidza) and OC Južanka Trenčín.
We will be happy, if donors, regular or new, visit the bookstores and pick a children´s book marked by a special illustration by Naďa Žatková and Saša Hudecová. The purchased book then remains in the bookstore and the Trenčín Foundation picks it up in time to deliver it to children in time for Christmas through their school, parents or in person.
